Not Today, Satan!

Can I be honest with you all?
Satan is terrible and really knows how to mess with my mind sometimes. I can’t even tell you the number of times he has made me feel unworthy, unloved, and degraded me about my blog and my book. He tries to manipulate my thoughts and make me think I am not good enough. Once I decided I wanted to share the gospel and write a book about Jesus, he came in full attack mode with me. Have you ever experienced that?

If you have, we are on the same page. Its a terrible feeling and puts you in a bad mood for hours or even days. He likes to corrupt our minds into things that are not of God. I am constantly having to remind myself that he means nothing and has no power over Jesus. I tell myself over and over to take those thoughts captive that he tries to place in my mind and remind myself of my worth and the love Christ has for me.

I am almost done with the publishing process and plan to launch my book really soon. You would think that this time is supposed to be so exciting and I should be jumping for joy… Well Satan is trying to ruin that for me. He has been trying to tell me I am not good enough ever since I submitted my manuscript to the publisher. I swear, the day I submitted it I freaked out and almost backed out. He made me feel stupid to think I could write a book and it become successful. He has made me think I need to keep it secret until its finished because “It might not be good enough” and who wants to read a book by someone who has ZERO background in writing or publishing?

What I can tell you is that Jesus put that book on my heart and told me I needed to write it. He allowed me to type the words but that book is not from me. It might have my name on it but Jesus is the one who gave me those words to share. Satan totally hates it and I’m sure he hates it more that I put a whole chapter about how crappy he is and has no control over our lives. I titled the Chapter: Not Today, Satan! because that’s literally what I tell him every time he puts those terrible thoughts in my head. I was having one of those thoughts today and finally told myself I should read my own book and chapter about how Satan is nothing compared to the God that loves me. I decided I should start believing the very things that I wrote and will put out in the world. I was searching for a way to get these thoughts to stop and found what I needed in my own book. That’s when you know it was Jesus.

I think its time to share a small nugget of the chapter with you guys. I could ramble on this posts and try to find scriptures to support it, but why not let you read the thing that Jesus helped me write?

We are responsible for our thoughts. We are responsible for continuing to let this devil take away our joy. It is up to us to take those thoughts captive and change our perspectives. Our minds can get us into trouble, and if we allow them to alter our thoughts and remind us of negative situations, we are going to end up miserable and unhappy. Remember to take your thoughts captive from sin and replace them with truth. Replace them with who God says you are and not who Satan thinks you are. God loved us enough to allow His son to die on the cross for our sins. If He was willing to do that so many years ago, He is still willing to love you and be your ultimate provider. You are special, you are wanted, you are a child of God, you are not worthless, and you are who God says you are; you are worthy of His presence, and you are unique. You were delicately crafted by God to accomplish big things in life. Satan is a liar and should no longer be allowed to take over our lives. God put us on this world to share the gospel. Satan will try to stop you and convince you that you are not good enough or smart enough to accomplish the task. You can guarantee that Jesus will equip you with the proper tools to be able to share the word no matter how much Satan might try to stop you. We are stronger than Satan and will always be bigger than him when we have God in our lives.

Satan can try to ruin our day and take away our happiness, but we have eternal life with God and can do all things through Christ who strengths us (Philippians 4:13). Lets agree to be on guard and tell Satan “Not Today!” every time he tries to attack us. Lets allow Jesus to fight our battles and not give Satan the slightest power over us or our minds. We can take delight in the fact that we have a powerful God that loves us and will fight our battles for us. Go spread the word my friends.

Much Love,
Charity

Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the web the
easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people
consider worries that they plainly do not know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing
without having side-effects , people could take a signal.

Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
